MG - 450°C | 550°C

MG Wire, or Mica Glass Wire, is a specialized high-temperature electrical wire designed for extreme heat environments, typically featuring stranded nickel-plated copper conductors. Its core insulation is made from mica tape or a mica composite, renowned for its exceptional thermal stability and electrical insulating properties at high temperatures. An outer fiberglass braid, often treated for added protection, provides mechanical strength and enhanced flame resistance. With impressive temperature ratings, commonly 450°C (842°F) and sometimes higher, and generally rated for 300V or 600V, MG wire is widely used for internal wiring in commercial and industrial ovens, furnaces, kilns, and other "hot spot" applications where standard wires cannot perform.
