Standard interlocking aluminum MC cable is rated for dry indoor locations, cable trays, and raceways. For wet, outdoor, or underground applications, you must use PVC-jacketed Aluminum MC Cable (approved per NEC Article 330) to prevent moisture intrusion and corrosion.

Our Aluminum MC Cable features compact-stranded AA-8000 series aluminum alloy conductors. Depending on the size and rating, conductors are insulated with either heavy-duty XHHW-2 (cross-linked polyethylene) or THHN/THWN-2 rated for 90°C continuous operation.
