Engineered to meet the rigorous demands of demanding service upgrades and large-scale site developments, it provides a stable, high-performance solution for moving substantial power from the transformer to the service entrance. Crucial Tip: Because Monmouth URD does not have a flame-retardant outer jacket, the NEC generally prohibits running it more than 5 feet inside a dwelling. For sub-panels inside a home or garage, you must transition from URD to SER or another approved indoor wiring method at the point of entry. Always verify local code requirements with a licensed electrician before purchase to ensure compliance for your specific application.
